Abandoned hospitals are one of the most creepy and eerie places on Earth. The places also generate a great deal of interest about their past and history. From the dark and mysterious corners of patient rooms to the abandon and creepy body bags left behind, there are plenty of reasons to find yourself enthralled with the sheer eeriness of abandoned hospitals. This is the exact topic that we are going to find ourselves in during the course of this article. Strap in, hunker down, and get ready to see some of the more creepy and scary abandon locations in the world. Let’s get up close and personal with a haunting and bone chilling abandoned hospital.
The Patient Rooms:
While you are taking your journey through the halls of this abandoned hospital you will come across many rooms that once housed patients. These rooms still have the hospital beds in them with random medical objects scattered about on the floor and the beds. The ceilings are falling in at certain areas and the walls are dilapidated to say the least. There are also desks and chairs left behind in some of the rooms, and old-style tiled bathrooms are connected to some of them as well.
In some of the rooms there are used gloves found with blood still on them. Whether these gloves were used during the life of the hospital or after doesn’t change the fact that there are gloves covered in blood in an abandoned hospital. That is creepy. While we are on the topic of blood, there are some rooms with blood covered beds. You have to wonder how a place would just up and leave the facility like this in this condition with important and expensive items as well as blood covered objects of all kinds.
The Hallways:
In the hallways there are long dark stretches of brick walled pathways. These halls have random objects thrown about as well, including old computers and wires hanging down from the ceiling. Ceiling tiles are falling off and metal is hanging from overhead while there are things such as fire extinguishers and drywall spread out chaotically across the floors.
Every once in a while, you will see graffiti on the walls from people that have broken in and spray painted on the walls. This makes you wonder how much of the blood is from when the hospital was in order and how much of it is from well after the hospital was closed down forever. Some of that blood could be from people that broke in or from those same people throwing animal blood all over the place. If this hospital was in Louisiana, I would say it was chicken blood for dark magic rituals.
Offices:
There are, of course, offices found within this abandoned hospital. Inside of the offices are some forms and documents laying about in a loose and unordered manner. There are also filing cabinets that have seemed to be thrown on the floor as well and laid over beds and desks randomly.
While some of the smaller offices along the hallways are messed up, some of the bigger offices in the building are actually decently intact still. There are entire shelves of books and binders filled with important papers from the time in which this hospital was still going. There are computers, fake potted plants, and printers. Not only this but there are still calendars on the wall and papers posted up on the cork boards as if someone were coming back to work the next day.
There are archival rooms in which there are rows and rows of files from past patients still held in order just like the day they were left. There is so much information on so many different people in this rooms, and it really is wild to think about the fact that some of these people are still out there in the world somewhere right now and don’t even know about this. Their information is out there for anyone to get a hold of, and not just anyone, but people that are willing to go deep into the depths of an abandoned hospital filled with blood and dangerous stuff. It is safe to say that these wouldn’t always be the best of people that would be able to have access to that information of yours.
In the imaging rooms there are also X-Rays from past patients of the hospital. These are all from real patients and are dated with names and other information on the patients. Not only do these images have this information on them, but they also have imaging of what could have been deadly illnesses or injuries to some of these people. Maybe some of these people didn’t make it much longer and these images are some of the last that were taken of them. Morbid, I know, but very possible.
Among some of the more interesting items to be found in this abandoned hospital are old vials of blood samples from patients as well as urine and stool samples. So, not only are there bloody gloves and beds covered in blood, but there are also vials filled with actual blood of the patients as well. These tubes have been marked and dated with the patient’s information in a similar fashion to some of the other things we have seen in this location.
Operating Room:
On the beds in the operating room there is old, dried blood as well as more bloody gloves. There sure are a whole lot of bloody gloves in this abandoned hospital. Maybe that’s why they got shut down. Along with the blood all over the place there is also operating equipment still out like it is ready to be used.

In these operating rooms there are more vials filled with blood as well as some weighing mechanisms for babies. The fact that there are weighing stations made for babies sends the creepiness into overdrive. Especially since the weighing stations that were once used to see how much actual babies weighed are right next to blood stained operating tables.

Abandoned hospitals such as this one are hot spots for urban explorers and fans of the creepy, but they are also often home to homeless individuals and sinister people as well. Many of these locations are haunted and thus are popular areas for journeying into and looking for new and mysterious adventures by those that want to see ghosts or even just see where people once laid in a dark and macabre scenario.
This hospital that we visited here today in this article is surely all of those things and provided us with a lot more than we thought we would see. From bloody gloves, beds, and vials to office that still have thousands of important documents; this hospital was a great location to see just how strange and interesting an abandoned location like this could be. The people that once roamed these halls and inhabited these rooms may not be around anymore, but the building is, and it is easy to see how the creepiness can set in once you truly take the time to appreciate that fact. What a journey it is to look through these old, abandoned locations and see the haunting history behind them.
